Alice Adams – Booth Tarkington

Alice Adams - Booth Tarkington

Alice Adams - Booth Tarkington

Who bought it: Robin, one of my college bookish friends.

What is it: It’s about the middle class Adams family and their attempt to make the upper classes appreciate them for whatever they are worth.

When: November 1, 2011

Where: Given to me at Nepo Mall in Angeles City.

Why: My friend and I collect Pulitzer Prize winners and we help each other in filling out our respective collections. This one is an early Pulitzer winner.

How much: Free! Or to be more precise, I exchanged this one with March by Geraldine Brooks.
